How does the way that matter flows through an ecosystem differ from the way that energy flows?
Energy flows one way, matter is recycled within and between ecosystems.
Phosphorus Cycle in the Temperate Grassland
The phosphorus comes from animals or inside rocks. it goes from the animal to Detritus, also known as waste or debris. after that, the phosphorus goes to the detritivores in the soil. Next, it is all decomposed and goes to the phosphates in the soil. After the soil, it goes to phosphates in solution, or water. The phosphorus then gods into the precipitated phosphates. Then, it goes to the rock. The phosphorus then goes to the uplifting rock. Finally, it goes to the weathering rock.
